![]() Has participated in fieldwork in Cuba and Dominican Republic. His research activity includes studies in pre-Columbian ceramic, mortuary practices and iconography, the investigation of early ceramic sites, archaeological heritage management and archaeology and history of early colonial Caribbean. Has conducted archaeological projects in Cuba as member of local institutions (researcher of the Departamento Centro Oriental de Arqueología, Holguín) or in collaboration with specialist and institutions from United States of America (The University of Alabama Pennsylvania State University), Europe (Leiden University University College London University of Tubingen) and Latin America (Colombia and Dominican Republic). In 2005 he was Marie Curie fellow at the Institute of Archaeology, University College London. Doctoral degree in Archaeology (Leiden University, 2012) with an investigation about indigenous-Spanish interaction in Cuba and the Caribbean. ![]() ![]() Professor at Instituto Tecnologico de Santo Domingo (INTEC).
